Christian decided that going to every temple in Utah would be a great way for him to start off his mission. Plans were made and re-made as we determined the route for crisscrossing the state. It was finally determined that before Christian left Utah he would be able to attend all of Utah’s temples except for Monticello. On Monday, March 15, 2010 Christian, Patrice (mom), Leslee (aunt) and I (dad) traveled from Bountiful to St. George. We spent the night in St. George so that we could get up early and hit the 7:20am session. St. George Temple is beautiful, you certainly can feel the Spirit and the history of that temple is tremendous. To think that the founding fathers had their temple work completed in this temple, what a wonderful experience. Patrice and Leslee also have some great memories of being bookends to their mother in the little St. George seats - that is all I will say on the matter, you will have to ask them. We left St. George around 11:00am and headed to Manti, this is a beautiful drive and we enjoyed it very much. Leslee hasn’t lived in Utah for about 30 years (man, she is old); therefore, hasn’t traveled it much. Every 5 minutes or so she would remind us that we live in a very beautiful state, of course she is right – Utah is very pretty. About 3 hours later we arrived in Manti, just in time to change our clothes for the next session to start. While we were sitting in the chapel we met a couple that we had seen in the St. George temple. For a minute I thought they were stalking us; however, as it turns out they were celebrating their 10-year anniversary and were attending 10 temples in 1 week.
The Manti temple is a live session and I was excited about doing this with Christian and get his response. It really was wonderful, the Spirit was strong. When we exited the Temple I stood with Christian on Temple Hill. What a beautiful view of the valley. I told Christian that Moroni had traveled in this area, he was not sure if he should believe me or not; however, he eventually did as I explained that Brigham Young said that Moroni had dedicated the land for a temple site.
I think the fact that his grandma and grandpa Warner were sealed in this temple made it even more special.
After we left Manti we headed for Vernal – this is a part of the state that I had never seen before, and Leslee was right every 5 minutes, we really do live in a beautiful state.

Sometimes I hear Dad in your writing voice. Very strange for me. I'm loving reading this. :)
