January 9th Letter

Sawasdi Crap!

Oh boy this was a pretty exciting week, I guess.... We found a lot of way new sweet investigators, plus we started to see some of our other investigators a little less. We are trying to spread it out so everyone gets taught equal amounts, but we found some way cool people. When one of our new investigators prayed for the first time they cried because they felt the Spirit so much and what not. This is a really experience that we have with our investigators because for the most part when a Thai person prays for the first time it is literally their first time. They have never heard of it or seen it or done it before so it is pretty sweet.

Other than that we didn't really do anything else this week, just teaching and what not – nothing uber exciting. This week we taught that lady about tithing again and we finally got her to except that she needs to pay tithing, so good. She now is going to be baptized on the 21st but that means she will be interviewing this week so I will let you know how that goes.

Wow, I can't believe Ashley has already gone to Taiwan, that is just crazy. I wonder if she will get done doing that and then serve a mission. พอดี (remember this one?) (Note from Mike - it means "Coincidentally") she will be 21. I sent her a letter, I wonder if she is going to write back.

It sounds like you guys are having a great time with Aunt Leslee and everybody. I can't believe that grandma is still going strong, she might even make it to April who knows.

Anywho, this letter is short because I have to go into the city today to go cut a suit for Elder Ackerman. So don't feel bad that it is short.

No, Moves will be after next Monday so it isn't going to happen before I talk to you next. I don't know anything, so don't even bother asking.

The movies this week are Casino Royale, and Oceans 13. Theme: Gambling. Elder Ackerman likes this game too.

P.S. I figured out what I want to do when I’m older. I want to be Famous.

January 2nd Letter

Ok family... Was up?

Man, everyone's letters were pretty simple. I guess talking on the phone took care of what everyone had too say - Thank heavens, I really wanted to have an easy emailing experience today.

This last week was really great. I can't remember everything that happened, but I did switch offs with Elder Lesueur. That was fun because we taught really effectively together. We gave a family of 4 dates to get baptized in February. I also interviewed a lady for baptism up in his area, she is way ready. She has a strong testimony too. I think she will be a pretty sweet member. The day of her interview she brought a referral to the church to learn also, how cool is that? Anyway, after switch offs Elder Ackerman and I just came back to our area and worked the rest of the week. Our area is pretty much back to normal. We taught the same amount of lessons this week as we were teaching before the flooding happened, and we had more people at church this week. So I think this area is just going to sky rocket; however, two of those people I was telling you about that had dates to get baptized coming up, Were dropped. Well one moved to a new area so she is learning with those Elders. The other one has a problem with tithing, she isn't ready to pay.

Well I got some news this week. My companion and I had to go to a Zone Leader Council and while we were there President Smith asked Elder Furr, Elder McDonald and me to be trainers next transfers. So I will be moving next transfers and I will be a trainer again. I'm going to get another ลูก! I hope he is as good as my first.
